The mission of our organization is to provide substantial assistance and support to the families of catastrophically injured or deceased first responders. By staying up-to-date on our current initiatives, events, and stories, you can see the impact our services have on these families firsthand.

Stories Honoring Fallen Heroes And Their Families
We own an Aerospace company, Gerding Enterprises. We do all kinds of Aerospace and commercial parts. But we mostly do work for Boeing Defense.
We are very proud of our family-owned Aerospace heritage. My dad started the business in 1960 and we are 66 years old this year. We’ve had parts on Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and the space shuttle programs. Along with many of Boeing fighter jets and cargo transports.
How Screaming Eagle Grill was born was when I witnessed that horrible day of September 11, 2001, and I watched those true American Heroes rush into those buildings to save people they didn’t even know, and witnessed our military go to the ends of the earth to get the monsters responsible. I wanted to do something but was too old to join the military.
We BBQ for our company picnic and decided to get our group together-our beloved Scream Team and find an organization that could help our local heroes and luckily we found BackStopper, which is truly a remarkable organization. And we made their cause our cause and started an annual bbq in 2016. The first year we raised $12,500.00. The community and local businesses supported us wholeheartedly. On our 10th anniversary we raised $151,205.80. This is a one-day event, we are only 2nd to Guns-n-Hoses for money raised in a one day event for BackStoppers.
We have a grand total for 10 years of $691,148.80.
We are very proud of what this has become.
We are hoping that this wonderful event carries on long after we are gone.
