Volunteer with BackStoppers of Jefferson County

Serving and honoring the service of those who have so passionately served and protected our community is at the heart of what we do at BackStoppers of Jefferson County. We deliver essential support and resources to affected families of fallen and injured local heroes by utilizing the dedication and generosity of the members of our community who volunteer and donate

While donating money to our organization makes what we do possible, donating your time makes a real difference in the lives of the families of police officers, firefighters, and EMTs who made the ultimate sacrifice. Whether you’re a member who makes regular donations or a first-time volunteer looking to make an impact, each of these roles helps to strengthen our community and support families who need it most.

How To Help Families of Fallen Police Officers, Firefighters and EMTs

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of our membership, community, and partnerships with local fire, law enforcement, and emergency medical services agencies throughout the county to help plan and run all of our fundraising and outreach events.

There are several ways members of the community can get involved, including:

  • Assisting at planned fundraising events

  • Supporting outreach efforts

  • Participating in memorial and tribute events

  • Assisting with the logistics of operating an event

  • Offering to host and organize a fundraiser

  • Working as a go-between for local fire, police, and EMS agencies

Through the coordinated efforts of our team and volunteers, BackStoppers of Jefferson County is able to raise funds and provide the necessary support to the bereaved and struggling families of fallen and injured first responders.

Helping Fallen Heroes’ Families Through Volunteer Work

The generous donations of our friends, family, and neighbors pay off all the work we put into our fundraising events. We then put those funds to good use, serving and supporting the families of those who have given so much to our communities.
